Our material selection inside a sauna envelope is a thoughtful process. It fundamentally governs thermal distribution, internal acoustic behavior, spatial comfort, and physical lifespan. We deploy thermally modified woods due to their exceptional dimensional stability and cross-climate durability. All of our materials are chosen to actively minimize chemical off-gassing, creating a clean, completely breathable space.

Materials are chosen for how they perform, how they age, and how they contribute to the room.

The best parts of a sauna are often the least obvious at first glance. Light, air movement, heat distribution, and the way people move through the room all shape the experience.

In commercial work, the sauna room is one part of a larger system. Air movement, humidity, circulation, mechanical coordination, and adjacent wet areas all shape whether the environment performs as intended. Beyond design and build, we provide consulting for strategy, feasibility, and operations—helping clients develop successful thermal wellness operations that are financially viable and operationally excellent. We consult early so those decisions are aligned from the start.

We build and support commercial and consulting work nationally, with a primary residential design-build footprint focused entirely on the Western United States. Every single project is explicitly adapted to its target regional climate envelope. Because we operate extensively throughout the West, we purposefully design for WUI (Wildland-Urban Interface) compliance where extreme environmental fire safety is an absolute necessity. Our layouts are fully enriched to account for high-wind environments and strict regional seismic realities. Fire risk mitigation is paramount in modern saunas, and we design structural boundaries to guarantee a secure, protected space inside and out.
