Custom Sauna Builder + Bathhouse Consulting

Custom Saunas Built for Seattle's Climate

Rogue designs and builds custom saunas engineered for the Pacific Northwest's sustained rain, humidity, and overcast seasons, where heat becomes a daily practice, not an occasional luxury.

Pacific Northwest Maritime

Designed for sustained moisture, rain-season use, and urban lots

Seattle’s persistent rain and high ambient humidity place real demands on a sauna’s envelope: vapor management, material selection, and ventilation all require more care here than in dry climates. Every build is detailed for moisture resilience, with thermally modified timber chosen for its dimensional stability under long-term exposure. Urban lot constraints and Seattle’s seismic zone also inform how the structural base is configured and anchored.

In Seattle, a sauna isn't a seasonal thing. It's what you step into after nine months of grey.

From compact residential formats to shared-use commercial environments, each sauna is designed to support quality heat, steam, ventilation, hygiene, and fire safety.

Studio

A compact outdoor sauna designed with the same care given to proportion, materials, and performance as our larger work.

Signature

A larger residential layout designed for strong heat, steady steam, and comfortable social use.

Commercial

Commercial saunas designed for durability, public use, and well-coordinated performance.

All builds can be customized in layout, materials, heater choice, and configuration.

HOW IT’S MADE

Thermally Modified Timber. Steel Frame. Proven Layouts.

A sauna places unusual demands on its materials and structure. Every structural component, timber selection, and heating system is chosen for how it performs, how it ages, and how it contributes to the room over time. Where the project calls for it, assemblies are also developed with WUI fire safety, seismic requirements, and high-wind exposure in mind.

Thermally Modified Spruce

Timber selected for dimensional stability, moisture resilience, and long-term behavior under heat.

Structural Steel Base

A stable frame designed to keep the structure solid, aligned, and reliable during transport or demanding site conditions.

Proven Heaters

Wood-fired and electric options chosen for reliable performance, stone mass, and control.
