How much does a custom sauna cost?
Do you have different sizing options?
Yes. Sauna size is determined by how the space will be used, who it is for, and the constraints of the site. Residential saunas typically range from two to ten people, whether installed indoors or outdoors. Larger configurations are possible for commercial projects.
Rather than offering unlimited layouts, we guide sizing using proven proportions that support proper bench height, circulation, and heat quality. We help determine the right size for your space during the design phase.
What is needed for site prep?
Site preparation depends on whether the sauna is installed indoors or outdoors.
Outdoor installations typically require a compacted gravel base or a concrete slab. Indoor installations require adequate floor structure, ventilation planning, and coordination with surrounding finishes and utilities.
Once a project moves forward, we provide clear guidance specific to your installation so everything is ready ahead of delivery.
How long does it take to build and deliver my sauna?
Most projects move from deposit to completion within four to six months. This timeline allows for design coordination, material sourcing, fabrication, and scheduling.
For indoor projects, we also account for coordination with contractors, access planning, and interior sequencing. We work with you early to establish a realistic installation window.
Is my sauna built on site or delivered fully assembled?
Our saunas are built in our facility and delivered fully assembled whenever site access allows. This applies to both indoor and outdoor installations.
In cases where access is limited, we plan accordingly during design to ensure a smooth installation. Our approach prioritizes quality control during construction and efficiency on site.
What heater options do you offer?
We specify Kuuma wood fired sauna heaters and Homecraft electric heaters, depending on the project, site conditions, and intended use.
Indoor installations typically use electric heaters, while outdoor or detached structures may allow for wood fired options. Heater selection is guided by performance, safety, and compatibility with proper sauna design.
Do I need a cold plunge?
Cooling down between sauna rounds is an important part of the sauna cycle. This can take many forms, including a cold shower, stepping outdoors, or using a cold plunge.
For indoor projects, we help plan appropriate cool down strategies within the available space. For outdoor installations, natural or open air options are often integrated.
I rent my home. Can the sauna be moved?
In many cases, yes. Our pre built saunas can be relocated in the same manner they are delivered, provided site access allows.
For indoor installations, relocation depends on access and how the sauna is integrated into the space. We discuss this early so expectations are clear.
